Majlis Al Falah trust has used a strict vetting system in conjunction with local organisations in order to identify couples, which would like to get married but unable to afford the wedding and the beginning of married life together.
Most importantly, for every couple we provide items of household goods to help them start their marital lives. For many of these couples this project allows them to continue with their education / work pathways and not suspend it in place of alternative means of income/work to help support their spouse/ families.
Some would be widows / divorced people with children who cannot afford a ceremony and basic essentials. So they have organised mass ceremony held in West Bengal, Malda, Birhum,Nepal, Vadodara, Bodeli, Godhara, Santrampur, Patan, Mahemadabad, Naswadi for couples in India where local MPs and dignitaries have attended.
We have our representatives at each place that receive applications from brides and grooms on our behalf. They ensure that the applicants are of appropriate age to be married and pass the applications onto us.
