On 6 February 2023, south-eastern Turkey and northern Syrian were hit by the most powerful earthquake in the region for over 80 years
which aftershocks following the event. This led to over 40,000 deaths and thousands left injured/homeless.
The aftermath and freezing weather conditions made the situation difficult for the rescue workers and survivors.
Majlis Al Falah Trust left the weekend of 17/02/2023 to help provide tents, medical supplies, winter clothing, food and baby distribution packs starting at the value of £30,000 for the first trip.
They are going to continue their support and funding in this region over the following weeks to help those affected.
