Representatives of our organisation went to poor areas of West Bengal (Sundarban, Bihar,Araria, Chandpur and Malda) and more than 500 eye operations took place for those who are poor and unable to pay for their own operations.
This was very personal to one of the trustees who himself has to wear sunglasses outside all the time suffering from Glaucoma and having cataract operations.
We have also purchased two ambulances for hospitals.
Donors are able to request areas where they would like to support.
For example we have had requests for medical services near Gir Jungle in India for the poor community there or Gambia where communities lack medical facilities.
