In Indonesia at least 162 people were killed and 700 more injured after a magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck the Indonesian city of Cianjur on the island of Java.

The ongoing floods in the region since has caused life to be difficult for the locals living there and trying to resume normal life.

Indonesia has been home to ongoing Tsunamis and earthquakes which has been accelerated over the last few years with the increasingly changing climate conditions. The conditions in these areas have worsened due to the rainy season and the decline of aid arriving at this region.

Majlis Al Falah Trust has carried out food, tent, and post-earthquake aid packs for the communities there.

housing post earthquake/tsunami

In the past we created 200 permanent sheltered accommodations for the people affected by the Tsunami and the earthquakes which started in 2018 and came again throughout the year in Palua and other affected regions in Indonesia.

This affected the poor people of Indonesia and after initial inspection visits we decided to help by providing aid and build sheltered accommodation on land provided by the government of Indonesia.
