Carrying out post project visits we have found great satisfaction and testimonials of the local communities with regard to the usage of the water tanks.We have already installed 4 water tanks in the Gambia and after a post project visit by trust members we saw the need for clean water to be a dire need of the communities and also saw many communities without access to clean and safe drinking water. Please help us continue provide water tanks for Gambia.
Increased prices on food items means it can be very expensive for people to be able to feed their families .Our food package distributions in several areas throughout the year, have onions, flour, oil, spices, lentils, rice, blankets, sanitation and other basic essentials. We help this region throughout the year due to the consistent levels of poverty seen, the difficult weather conditions, lack of water facilities and floods.
Due to floods in Gambia in 2022 we have increased our engagement with projects in the region.‘The flood impacts include destruction of houses, food stock, toilet facilities, and household items. The ongoing assessments have identified at least 47,104 people who are directly affected by the recent heavy downpours.’ ( IFRC, 8 Aug 2022)
