We aim to continue helping the Turkish and the refugee populations that live in Turkiye affected by the natural disaster and poverty. Turkiye is also home to many different refugee populations with the largest refugee camps in the world housing refugees from all over the world. We have built and distributed 1000 of container homes, hundreds of tents, carried out regular hot food distribution, handed out sanitation packs and food parcels.
Since the Earthquake , the Maft members have personally gone to earthquake affected regions and towns in Turkiye several times to oversee and help in the distribution of aid and ensure that donations are going to the most needy. When the team visited we saw damage and collapsed buildings between the distance of London and Manchester. We distributed hot food, hygiene packs, tents, mosque tents, food parcels in places such as Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Pazacik, villages around Gazientep, Slucu, Basajic, Kailash, Adana and others. We then moved from tents to container homes due to varying temperatures where it dipped to -6 & rain.
