Thousands left homeless, injured, traumatised. Help Support Turkiye now in their time of need.
Since the Earthquake , the Maft members have personally gone to earthquake affected regions and towns in Turkiye sevaral times to oversee and help in the distribution of aid and ensure that donations are going to the most needy. Each time we have assessed the developing needs and adjusted projects to where the aid is most needed. An example is moving away from tents to more stable accommodation of containers as requested by many of those affected.
When the team visited we saw damage and collapsed buildings between the distance of London and Manchester; non-stop damage between cities and the forgotten villages. We distributed hot food, hygiene packs, tents, mosque tents, food parcels in places such as Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Pazacik, villages around Gazientep, Slucu, Basajic, Kailash, Adana and others. In the first few months varying temperatures where it dipped to -6 and thunder, lightening and rain affected the families and survivors living in the tents trying to keep warm and the tents dry with many still in temporary homes.
