Maft has an extensive water well/filter and water tank  programme  to ensure that people have access to clean water.

Donors can request waterwells, tanks in areas of their choice and we welcome people to visit their site of project after completion to hear first-hand impact testimonials from people about how it has positively affected their lives.

Water tanks, irrigation system and water wells have been created in Uganda, Gambia, Tanzania in very arid and dry areas where there is lack of access to clean water and it affects poor communities who would otherwise not have access.

The distances to gather water for some communities is very far, whilst some communities have no access to water as it is far away. There are other communities that have limited access to water which is polluted.

In India we have created water wells especially desert regions such Rajasthan, Mithe ke tala, Gargaria, Jaselmir, Balmer, West Bengal, Birhum, Malda, Jharkhand, Sundarban, Jampur. In Rajesthan alone we have 25 water wells  which is a very dry and arid region.

Majlis AL Falah trust have also taken part in important projects in providing water filters and generators  for drinking and sanitation in many parts of India such as Islampur, District Jambusar, Kavi and Devla.

3 Organisation members travelled to Somalia with Islamic relief where we created water wells, a large tank generator, and machinery for this water project which has the capacity to provide water for 10,000 people’s homes.
